Configuring the Web Annotation Comment Item

The Web Annotation Comment Item

The web annotation comments are saved to the text item named Web Annotation Comment and stored on FM Note. In order for the web annotation comment to work, you must have this item created in Designer. The comments can then be seen on the Web Module’s Annotation viewer, the Connect Module’s fetal strip, and the Centricity Perinatal fetal strip. If you want your users to see the Web Annotation Comment on a specific chart or form, you must add the item to the chart or form.

For information on creating an item in Centricity Perinatal and adding the item to a form, see the Centricity Perinatal Clinical Configuration Reference Manual.

Note: All users authorized with a Centricity Perinatal Web license have the ability to read and write within the application. If a user has a license to log into Centricity Perinatal Web, they have permission to document on the Web Annotation Comment item.

Removing Web Annotation Commenting

To remove the ability to document a web annotation comment, rename the item in Designer (for example, append “Retired” and the date to the name). Because of the nature of this special item, any information previously created in the Web Annotation Comment item and then displayed in a chart or form will display the items’ new name, and the tap and hold action will no longer open the web annotation comment window.
